Our 'Gold' status has expired, which is why you are seeing ads on the board. You can contribute to the board by clicking on the "contribute now' button at the top of the main page. When you contribute money to the community, it gives us days of ad free status. Also, For every $6 that you donate to a Community, $1 (equal to 1 month) will be added to your own yuku supporter balance. For larger donations this amount is increased.

Starting Tuesday Nov 24th, I will not be around much, as I will be travelling to my sisters, and then on to Montreal. I will be back (hopefully) around the 5th or 6th of December. I will try to pop in as much as possible...if any big issues come up, please email me so i`ll be sure to catch it. Be good...don`t blow the place up!

A few board problems

We will be having a few problems with the server cache for a few hours. If you post and then it isn`t showing, it`s because the server is lagging. Your post is there, you just can`t see it yet. It should be fixed sometime today...

For awhile, anyway. I was having too much difficulty getting the old 'skin' to load. Sometimes it took me hours to read the board...all the flowers were pretty, but they bogged down my comp, so I chose this simpler skin for the time being. I hope it doesn`t upset anyone too badly!

As you no doubt all have noticed, i`m not here as much as I once was...between being on dial up and working full time, my comp time here has suffered. I just want to thank all the mods here for jumping in and answering questions, letting me know when things need to be stickied, and generally keeping an eye on the place. Thank-you SO much!!

I am tinkering with the smilies...if anyone has any favorites they would like to see, PM them to me please....I have added a couple I thought were cute, and will add more.

I am also trying to make it so the 'smile' keystroke (full colon and bracket) does not make a dancing banana...I prefer it as a smile.

Server Issues

The server that this board is on (and a lot of others) is having problems...posts here are disappearing and reappearing...evidentaly some boards are missing entire threads...

I haven`t seen any threads disappear, but could you all keep an eye on the forums you frequent? If you notice any threads go missing, or lose any posts, PM me please...they are aware of the problem at support, but no info on when it will be fixed...

that you can set this board so that we don't have to wait for a minute between posts? That frustrates me at times, when I type something, and then I have to do it over cause it wouldn't let me post. I know several other boards I'm on have changed this.

I have changed the default smilies for the forum...however there is a blue 'thumbs down' smilie that I have tried to delete without success...please, don`t use that one...not that I think most would, but just making sure...

Anyone know how to edit the smilies in the admin panel?...*help*

As there has been no traffic in the Repro Sampler forum for awhile, I am going to delete it....if there are any links, etc that you would like to have, please save them by June 25...after that the forum will be deleted....thanks!...

For a few weeks...I won`t have net access where i`ll be...i`ll try to find an internet cafe so I can check on things, but no guarantees...I have asked Mudmonkey to keep an eye on things here, and Dani will be popping in and out occassionally...if there are any major problems, go to the YUKU support board and post a detailed description of it there..here is the link

We have 22 days left to be 'Ad free' without contributions...I`m sorry one of the first things I must do as new admin is ask for money, but that is what i`m doing...any contribution no matter how small is appreciated...

I've promoted MJ to BB Admin.

Now don't worry, I'm not going away! I just wanted someone in a better position to visit and take care of N&T on a daily basis, something I've come to realize I'm not fitting into my life at the moment.

She's going to help keep this BB going where I have been doing a miserable job lately!
