Found a wi-fi connection and popped in to say hello from the beach! Laying about, stitching, eating, and visiting with extended family....yesterday we went in search of wild ponies! The connection is unreliable, so I'll post pictures later, but I wanted to say HI!

Server Issues

The server that this board is on (and a lot of others) is having problems...posts here are disappearing and reappearing...evidently some boards are missing entire threads...

I haven`t seen any threads disappear, but could you all keep an eye on the forums you frequent? If you notice any threads go missing, or lose any posts, PM me please...they are aware of the problem at support, but no info on when it will be fixed...

Okay, it's tomorrow, but I was just wondering how many of my fellow Canadians are working today or not? DH brought home some quotes to do, so technically he's working but not at the office. Tomorrow we are going to the neighbours for a party. We're deep frying 2 turkeys and everyone is bringing other stuff to go with. Probably about 20 of us.

For awhile...I am fighting an eye infection and the comp screen makes my eyes burn for some reason...i`ll be checking in though, just not spending as much time...i`ll catch up on all the WIPs and Happy Dances when it goes away...unless the itching drives me completely insane and I need to be commited, that is...

I know that most of you don't really know me except seeing my name here every now and then. The last few months I have had..and am still having...health problems due to my diabetes. I could really use a few prayers/postive thoughts sent my way!! And also, normally there are planned three films to the civil war. Gods and Generals is the first part, Ghettysburgh the secon. The Last Full Measure is the third part, but is it filming? Are someone now something? Thanks for answering

I watch house-buying and selling shows on TV sometimes and I am always amazed at the differences in cost. So if anyone is interested, let's do a comparison. You don't have to post a photo, just a general description of size, age, whereabouts in what country/area, etc.

My house is:

11 years old
approx. 2600 square feet, 2 storeys, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2-car garage and it sits on a 100 ft wide by 60 ft deep lot
I live in a semi-rural town about...

Thanks to dear old Queen Vicky back-in-the-day, we have a holiday on Monday here in Canada. It's always the 3rd Monday of May, because Vicki's birthday was the 24th or something like that. Or maybe it's Queen Elizabeth's? We are staying around home and cleaning the deck, painting, etc. It's supposed to be 30 degrees Celsius here in our little corner of BC tomorrow and Sat. Maybe more sitting around drinking cold beer will be happening instead.

I'm going to Quebec for the first time for two weeks at the end of July.
We plan to go to Quebec City, than Saguenay-Lac Saint-Jean and ending by one week in Gaspésie. I'm happy and exciting at the same time.

Well I thought my absence from the BB would be much shorter than it really has been. But alas its not. Since Noveber I've been steadily model stitching for the magazine A Needle Pulling Thread, I'm down to the last model which is due July 1st. So that has made me seriously limit my online time, I do my best to find time to blog but that's about it!

Now I've got something else that will be stealing my time yet again. I've registered for a part-time evening...
