I'll be off to the Stitching Jubilee in Lancaster tomorrow (a 7-8 hour drive) with a friend so I'll be away from the boards for a few days.....I want to see lots of stitching from y'all when I get back! Not taking any classes, just gonna stitch and shop!

My best friend, apart from my DH, is getting married in April. The colours of her wedding are light grey and pale pink. So I made her this:

Sorry to be so AWOL lately; we've had a busy summer and it's not stopping! Finally got my hobby room (stitching/quilting/general crafting) just about organized, and we started on the computer room...clearing out years of clutter, old computer mags, old computer games, etc. Soon we will rip out the carpet and replace with hardwood laminate, put everything back and re-locate the cats' litter boxes so we can redecorate DD's bathroom....after we get back from vacation! To give you some idea of size, Queenie is as big as most Golden Retrievers or Labradors. She is a very large Boxer. So that should help you estimate how big Sirius is when you see this picture:

I explain : when I was in Canada (Quebec) last summer, I found wonderful make-up in Jean Coutu's shop. We don't have this kind in France, although I know French make-up is considered as one of the best. It is a N.Y.C. called 'automatic eye pencil'. I got two : one is "plum perfect" and the other is "Brazen blue".

Could you think it could be possible to buy for me and send ? I'll pay by Paypal. I would like 5 "plum perfect" and 1...

It's really hard for me to believe, but my darling Little Man will be 1 year old this week! (1 July) It seems just yesterday that we were visiting his foster home with Miss Bossy Boots to see if she would accept him. He followed her around like, well, like a puppy. He was instantly in love with her. If he wasn't following her, he was chasing the chickens out in the garden, or attempting to trip up the two fully-grown Great Danes who belonged to the foster family.

After 9 very long months looking after my mom, she is going for a visit to my sisters. I will have the house to myself. Maybe it`s because I didn`t have children, but I need solitude now and then. I haven`t had any for a long time...and I will have a week, possibly two, all to myself. I wonder how much I can stitch before I go cross-eyed?

Keep in mind that Queenie is VERY large for a Boxer female. She stands 28" at the shoulder. She's lost a bit of weight due to being unable to run around a lot; she's lost muscle tone in her hindquarters because of arthritis.

Dh and i returned home last night to some snow believe it or not!!!! we heard about the snow while eating dinner at the Vancouver airport and were tempted to switch from a north bound to south bound plane!!

My youngest sons graduation went great he is now a commissioned officer with the rank of Second Lieutenant in the Canadian Forces and has a degree in Civil Engineering. He finished third in his civil engineering class too!! Can you say proud!! LOL It was a long four...

Heart-broken again

We lost Tudor this morning. He has always had a sensitive stomach, ever since he was a puppy. It seemed that he would randomly develop intolerances to certain foods. I'd have to change what he ate and he'd be OK for a few months. So I wasn't really surprised when he was poorly whilst I was away. I assumed that he had a virus, because Queenie and Sirius also had diarrhea.

But after I got back, Queenie and Sirius got better, and Tudor did not. He had diarrhea 2 or 3 more...

I just had to share this!

I know I have posted here that I am getting married and moving to the USA...I didn`t expect to get an engagement ring...this is my second marriage, and I just didn`t think about it...but look what I got in the mail the other day..
