I made this up for my friend Lisa. She actually doesn't live that far from me, but the sentiment is nice anyway. I don't sew much, but I am pretty good with a hot glue gun!

I finally finished it off this afternoon. Sorry for the slight pixelation, but I lowered the quality a bit so that the photos would load okay for everyone. I purchased the gold cording and it's not too horrible for my first effort. Unfortunately I couldn't use a pillow form,...

I have almost got some cording sewn around the outside of the pillow. I just have to finish stuffing it, slip stitch it shut and finish the cording. I promise a photo in the next week or two!

My list of "finished" stuff that needs attention is:

Stretch - frame ( don't know where it's going )
Neuschwanstein castle - frame ( for our bedroom )
South America - frame ( for living room )
Pear - trivet ( my daughter's first project )

I made this for my friend Laurel. It came out not too bad, considering it's my first pillow. I wanted to put a ruffle on but ran out of time. And I have to make my slip-stitch better. Considering all the cross stitch I do, I have a hard time with other hand stitching.

Quick, cheap framing?

I'm near to finishing a piece that will be a gift for a random stranger. The piece is taking about a week (about 5000 stitches) and its recipient may or may not be a stitcher. (It's a picture of New Forrest Ponies and I'm sending it to Warwick where 100 horse owners are locked into quarantine for at least another month. Long story, not relevant.)

I want to finish it as a framed picture but I have zero money or time to get it framed professionally and I don't have...

How big can a scissor fob be?

I have a piece with a finished size of 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches (square). Is that too big for a scissor fob? I can always make it into an ornament if I need to.

Here's Generosity by Drawn Thread finished as a wall hanging. I used pillow cording, but it was difficult to tuck in the ends.

Once the school year winds down and I don't have as much to help out with at my children's elementary school, the sewing machine is coming out! I have a pillow, a magnet and a wall-hanging to do. I'm not much of a seamstress though. Wish me luck! I will be checking out Dani's tutorials since she gave me a good idea a while back for the magnet.

After a year and 7 months I accomplished the impossible and was able to finish her just in time for Mother's Day. My Hubby did the framing. I am so proud of it!

Un-frame and make a wallhanging?

I need some thoughts.

I have a piece that my sil gave us as a wedding gift 15 years ago.

The framing is HORRID. She didn't have a lot of extra fabric, so you can see the edge of the board behind it - there may even be cardboard behind it ::::GASP:::. It's an arched piece but the mat is rectangle. Ok - you get the idea.

SO - I love the piece itself. I also like to quilt. My thought was that...

This is something I definitely need to learn. Framing is SO expensive!

Where do you get your supplies? We have a craft store that has a really good artists store attached to it - I know they do framing htere. I wonder if they would be able to get things for me?

Would they possibly assemble the frame and cut the mats, but...

Here's the flat fold I did for a birthday club exchange. It's Princess and the pea by Cross Eyed Cricket. My mom stitched up the mattresses. I have more pics on my website.
