Having finished one HAED i started another same as before using 2 strands DMC over 1 thread tent stitch on 25ct lugana. This ones called Dragon Riders and the artwork is by Steve Roberts it's got 36 pages and will look like this when finished

Forgot to put this up but just to show i did finish a HAED here it is...stitched 2 over1 tent st on 25ct lugana. chart had 25 regular sized pages and approx 50 something colours... started Oct 2005 finished Dec 2007 not stitched on continuously though.Artwork by Jessica Galbreth

I'm finally starting my Tower of Babylon today!! The stitch count is 900 x 678 and is going to be 36 x 27 inches -- 1 over 1 on 25 count lugana. Anyone care to join me in a little SAL?!

I started working on this a year ago, and have picked it up once again. It wasn't until I stood back to take the picture that I got any perspective on the background of snow and the tops of trees. The little blue on the right is the top of Santa's hat.

stitching 10x10 sections

I have been hearing that alot of stitchers have problems with stitching their BAPs in 10x10 sections. They have found their project ends up looking like it's been quilted. Wouldn't this be due to tension?
Would the quilting effect come out after washing, pressing and preparing for mounting? What do you think?
I find the easiest way to stay on track is to discipline myself only to work a 10x10 section at a time. I'm afraid I'd miss stitches if I worked outside the...

I finally finished QS Dragonfly! It was one of my new starts for this year started late New Year's Eve night (I know, technically last year) and I finished it early this morning. The design is from HAED based on the artwork of Jessica Galbreth and is stitched over 1 on 28 ct evenweave. Here are all 29,100 stitches!

I know it's been quite awhile since I posted a progres pic. A LOT has gone on since you've seen it last! This is Crystal of Enchantment by Josephine Wall.

I had started with 2x1 full crosses and didn't like it - so I moved over to the next page to try 1x1full crosses, a 10x10 grid and parking - didn't like any of that - I had drifted into page 3 during that last experiment, so moved over to page 4 to try 2x1 tent stitches (no gridding...

BAP SAL?

I was wondering if we can have a BAP SAL? How would that work? Can we say, for example, that on Tuesday night we are all going to work on our BAP from 7p-9p and is that a SAL?

I really just need an excuse to say to the fam - BACK OFF! I need to work on my BAP SAL! SO - if my peeps are stitchin' too -I can tell them I have a prior commitment!! lol

Plus I think it would be fun.

I'm not entirely sure that this qualifies as a BAP, but it certainly feels like one to me!

I might re-chart the face as it looks a bit odd, but the thought of so much frogging is a bit daunting. I guess I'll see what it looks like when it's a bit more filled in.

Here are a couple of pictures of the Chapel as of 25Jun07. The first shows total progress so far. It's three scenes across and one scene down the middle. The middle scene has 4 out of 6 pgs done. From here I will be doing the next top scene to the right of what is already done.
